New Year, New Beginnings
Hello Love + Craft Kitchen Friends!
Happy New Year! I hope you had an enjoyable holiday season and are ready to dive into 2023.
One cause for celebration for me is that my LCK newsletter turns 5 this year! When I started, I had no idea how much I would enjoy writing it each month. It has grown and developed, and truly, is all thanks to you, my readers.
You may notice that this email has a slightly different look and feel from the usual newsletter delivered from me to your inbox. Things are always cooking here at Love + Craft Kitchen, and a new version is now in the oven.
The latest dish - LCK’s Cooking Well!
Why the change?
Just as with anything, keeping current and developing new opportunities is important. After careful consideration and consultation (including a bit of hair-pulling!), I have decided to take a leap.
New Platform
As we have more readers joining our group every month, I have chosen a new platform on which to host the newsletter that I feel will better serve the group. You may be familiar with it, it’s called Substack.
One of my goals in writing and producing a newsletter is to foster inspiration, confidence, connections, and community. This platform will provide more flexibility and a better opportunity for all of us to interact and grow as a community. We will be able to share thoughts, experiences, comments, and questions more easily, which I am eagerly looking forward to.
Flexibility with Content
I will also have more flexibility in how the content is presented to you. I’ve never been very good at writing for algorithms and keywords! Now, I can focus on writing for you - sharing information that I feel is relevant, helpful, and fun in a more authentic way. And, I will have easy access to content from other food writers on Substack, which I can share with you.
In addition, archived posts will be in one place allowing for easier access. No more digging through “trashed” emails.
New Name
In making this change, I’ve chosen a new name to reflect what I hope for all of us - LCK’s Cooking Well. Think of it as a place for all of us to learn about ingredients and the mechanics of cooking well while preparing foods that naturally support better health and wellness.

How will this work?
One of the largest changes I am making to the newsletter has to do with frequency. The content will be broken into smaller bites delivered 4 times per month rather than the past once-a-month, long newsletter buffet. This decision was largely based on feedback from all of you, as well as research and input from trusted professionals.
The content will focus on cooking well for ourselves and others, including valuable information about ingredients, cooking tips and techniques, recipes, culinary lifestyle tidbits, and more.
To start, all of LCK’s Cooking Well content will remain free. At a later date, some content will remain free, while other content will be part of a paid subscription. You will have the option to continue as a free subscriber or change to a paid subscriber if you wish to further support my work. More information on this will be shared when that time approaches.
For now, if you received this in your inbox, there is nothing you need to do - you are on the list! Each free post will be delivered directly to your inbox just as before, except more frequently.
If you know of someone who would enjoy receiving posts from LCK’s Cooking Well, feel free to pass any post on to them so they can read it and consider subscribing.
Thank you for being a part of this community!
I am happy you are here and look forward to what this new year brings. I hope you enjoy this newsletter as much as I enjoy writing and producing it. Happy 5th Anniversary to all of us!
And, thanks in advance for your patience and understanding with any glitches we may experience as I launch this new adventure! I am still somewhat of a tech dinosaur. :)
Very best wishes and happy cooking!
