FALL DINNER PARTY OR COOKING CLUB MENU
I am always a little sad to see summer go, yet I welcome fall’s comfortable temperatures, vibrant colors, and enticing produce. It is a great time to slow down a bit and reconnect with others over a savory meal.
Some of my favorite fall menus are those that include a balance of comforting warm flavors and brighter accompaniments. This menu illustrates that, incorporating many health-supporting seasonal ingredients such as leafy greens, pears, beets, and other veggies. And, while fresh cherries are not in season, frozen ones are available and offer the dark fruit flavor profile I am seeking in the featured savory sauce.
WHY I LIKE THIS MENU
The items are familiar and traditional with a twist.
Most of the recipes can be prepared ahead either partially or fully. Any final cooking can happen quickly shortly before serving.
The menu can be served family-style or buffet-style, keeping things casual.
Leftovers are great for subsequent lunches or dinners.

Use the menu as is, or pick and choose the number of recipes that best fit your needs for the size of your party or cooking club. If you’d like, enlist the help of others by having guests bring one of the dishes to the gathering.
